Reaching France by Air


France serves as one of the most visited destinations of Europe housing two main international airports with Roissy _ Charles de Gaulle located in Paris being the home to the national carrier, Air France. There are several direct and indirect flights to this airport from around the globe. Orly in the south of Paris is the second major airport once again receiving almost all international flights from around the world. Several major airlines lands at other cities of France including Lyon, Nice, Marseilles, Bordeaux and Toulouse.

Reaching France by Bus


It is also possible to reach France through international bus services that are often cheaper, especially with the international bus passes offering a traveller to board a bus whenever and wherever. The offer is more lucrative for travellers aged under 26 or over 60 years of age.

Reaching France by Rail


There are international trains that offer service from the channel ports and Paris to different destination throughout Europe. The Eurostar is one such service providing the company with a connection from London to Paris and to Brussels. The journey takes around 2 hours and 15 minutes to Paris from London and 2 hours until Brussels. This Channel Tunnel or "Chunnel” is the fastest way to reach France from England. The Eurostar also offers direct rail service from London to Avignon, Lyon and Marseille along with ski train to the Alps during winter.

Reaching France by Road


It is possible to travel France from any of its neighbouring countries. Eurotunnel shuttles cars, bicycles, motorcycles, coaches, minibuses, caravans and campervans between Calais in France and Folkestone in Kent, England. It takes around 35 minutes to complete the journey.

Reaching France by Water


France and England are connected through many ferries across the English Channel but one from Calais to Dover is the most popular one. Apart from that, there are plenty of other such services to Brittany or Normandy from England. Boulogne to Folkestone and Saint-Malo to Weymouth are the other popular routes by water. There are also links to the Channel Islands, Ireland and to the North African coast (Sete-Tangier, Marseille-Tunis and Marseille-Algiers). Service is also available to Genoa in Italy from Corsica.

Reaching France from India


France is home to two major international airports, one in Paris and other in Orly, south of Paris, connecting to all the major cities around the globe. Air India, Jet Airways, Gulf Air, Air France, British Airways, and Singapore Airlines and may other offers direct and indirect flights to France from several Indian cities including New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad etc.
